USAA’s Innovation Story:
As part of its mission to serve its members, USAA recognized that many of its military members and their families experienced difficulty accessing banking facilities for check deposits. For example, for members deployed at sea or outside the country, and wounded warriors who cannot easily get to a bank or ATM, USAA created mobile remote deposit capture technology through great financial investment. “USAA is proud of our innovations over the last 100-years, including remote deposit capture technology that has made banking easier for our members. USAA remains willing to enter into mutually beneficial licensing arrangements with all banks and credit unions, regardless of their situations.” – Nathan McKinley, USAA Vice President and Head of Corporate Development.
